Privacy Policy

uprou. is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable European privacy laws.

1. Who we are

uprou. ("we", "us", "our") is an interview coaching marketplace that connects candidates with experienced coaches for 1-on-1 session preparation. Our platform operates at uprou.com and is managed by its founder.

2. What data we collect

From candidates

  • Name and email address (when booking a session via Calendly)
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)
  • Session preferences and goals (provided voluntarily during booking)
  • Communications with uprou. via email

From coaches

  • Full name, professional email, and LinkedIn profile
  • Professional background, experience, and bio (provided via application form)
  • Bank account details for payment transfers
  • Session history and performance data

Automatically collected

  • IP address and browser type (via standard web server logs)
  • Pages visited and time spent on uprou.com

3. How we use your data

  • To facilitate bookings and match candidates with coaches
  • To process payments and transfer earnings to coaches
  • To send booking confirmations and session reminders
  • To deliver written feedback reports after sessions
  • To improve our platform and services
  • To comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Contract performance — processing necessary to deliver the services you requested
  • Legitimate interests — improving our platform and preventing fraud
  • Legal obligation — compliance with tax and financial regulations
  • Consent — for any marketing communications (opt-in only)

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate uprou.:

  • Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy applies to payment data)
  • Calendly — session scheduling (their privacy policy applies to booking data)
  • Webflow — website hosting
  • Formspree — form submission handling
  • Google — email communications via Gmail

All third-party services we use are GDPR-compliant.

6. Data retention

  • Candidate booking and session data: retained for 3 years for legal and tax purposes
  • Coach profile and payment data: retained for the duration of the coach relationship plus 5 years
  • Email communications: retained for 2 years

7. Your rights under GDPR

As a European resident, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Restriction — request we limit how we use your data

8. Cookies

uprou.com uses only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for essential cookies under EU law.

9. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of our platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms & Conditions

By using uprou.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking a session or registering as a coach.

1. About uprou.

uprou. is an interview coaching marketplace that connects job candidates with experienced coaches for 1-on-1 mock interview sessions and structured feedback. uprou. acts as an intermediary — we facilitate the connection between candidates and coaches but are not a party to the coaching relationship itself.

2. User accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use uprou.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when booking or applying
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information
  • uprou. reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

3. Booking and payment

  • All session prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes
  • Payment is required in full before a session is confirmed
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe
  • uprou. retains a platform commission of 20–25% of each session fee
  • The remaining amount is transferred to the coach within the agreed payment cycle

4. Sessions and feedback

  • Sessions are conducted via video call (Google Meet or Zoom)
  • Coaches commit to delivering written feedback within 30 minutes of the session
  • Session content and feedback are confidential between the candidate and coach
  • uprou. does not guarantee any specific interview outcome or job offer

5. Cancellation and refunds

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy tab for full details. In summary:

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the session: full refund
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before: no refund, session credit offered
  • No-shows: no refund
  • If a coach cancels: full refund or free rescheduling

6. Conduct and prohibited behaviour

  • Users must treat coaches and candidates with respect at all times
  • Sharing session recordings without consent is prohibited
  • Attempting to bypass the platform to arrange off-platform sessions is a breach of these terms
  • Fraudulent reviews or misrepresentation of qualifications is prohibited

7. Intellectual property

All content on uprou.com — including the brand, design, and written materials — is owned by uprou. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Coaches retain ownership of their feedback reports and coaching methodologies.

8. Limitation of liability

uprou. provides a platform for connecting candidates and coaches. We are not liable for:

  • The quality or outcome of any coaching session
  • Any interview results or employment outcomes
  • Technical issues caused by third-party services (Calendly, Stripe, video platforms)
  • Indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform

9. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by European Union law and the laws of the country in which uprou. is registered. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of European courts.

10. Changes to these terms

uprou. reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance.

Coach Agreement

By registering as a coach on uprou., you agree to the terms of this Coach Agreement. This document governs the relationship between you (the coach) and uprou. (the platform).

1. Nature of the relationship

You are an independent contractor, not an employee of uprou. You are free to set your own availability, prices, and coaching methodology. uprou. acts solely as a marketplace to connect you with candidates.

You are responsible for your own taxes, social contributions, and professional obligations in your country of residence.

2. Platform commission

uprou. charges a platform commission of 20–25% on each session booked through the platform. This commission covers:

  • Payment processing and platform infrastructure
  • Marketing and candidate acquisition
  • Customer support and dispute resolution
  • Platform maintenance and development

Example: If your session price is €120, uprou. retains €24–30 (20–25%) and transfers €90–96 to you within the agreed payment cycle.

3. Pricing

  • You set your own price per session
  • Recommended range: €80–€200 per 60-minute session
  • Prices must be set in Euros (EUR)
  • Price changes must be communicated to uprou. at least 7 days in advance

4. Payment terms

  • Payments are processed by uprou. via Stripe
  • Coach earnings are transferred twice per month (1st and 15th of each month)
  • Minimum transfer threshold: €50 (earnings below this amount roll over to the next cycle)
  • You are responsible for issuing an invoice to uprou. for each payment cycle
  • Bank transfer details must be provided and kept up to date

5. Session obligations

  • Sessions must be conducted professionally and on time
  • Written feedback must be delivered within 30 minutes of the session ending
  • Feedback must be structured, specific, and actionable — not generic
  • You must not share candidate information with third parties
  • Sessions must be conducted via the agreed video platform

6. Cancellation by coaches

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the session
  • In case of coach cancellation, the candidate receives a full refund or reschedule
  • Repeated cancellations (more than 2 in 30 days) may result in profile suspension
  • No-shows by the coach result in a full refund to the candidate at the coach's expense

7. Off-platform sessions

Arranging sessions with uprou. candidates outside the platform is a breach of this agreement and may result in immediate removal from the platform. This applies for 12 months after the last session facilitated by uprou.

8. Quality standards

uprou. maintains quality standards to protect the candidate experience. Coaches with a satisfaction score below 3.5/5 (based on candidate feedback) after a minimum of 5 sessions may be contacted and, if no improvement is observed, removed from the platform.

9. Profile accuracy

  • You must represent your experience and qualifications accurately
  • Misrepresentation of credentials is grounds for immediate removal
  • You must notify uprou. of any significant changes to your professional background

10. Termination

  • Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days' written notice
  • uprou. may terminate immediately in cases of breach of this agreement
  • Upon termination, pending earnings will be transferred in the next regular payment cycle

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both candidates and coaches.

1. Cancellations by candidates

More than 24 hours before the session

Full refund. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled session, you will receive a complete refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Less than 24 hours before the session

No refund — session credit offered. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the session, no refund will be issued. However, we will offer a session credit valid for 60 days that you can use to book another session.

No-show (candidate does not attend)

No refund. If you do not attend the session without prior cancellation, no refund or credit will be issued. The coach will still be compensated for their time.

2. Cancellations by coaches

More than 24 hours before the session

Full refund to the candidate and free rescheduling with the same or another coach, depending on availability.

Less than 24 hours before the session

Full refund to the candidate. The coach's compensation for that session may be reduced or withheld to cover the refund cost, at uprou.'s discretion.

Coach no-show

Full refund to the candidate plus a free additional session as compensation for the inconvenience. This is considered a serious breach of the Coach Agreement.

3. Technical issues

If a session cannot proceed due to technical issues (connectivity, platform failure), uprou. will offer:

  • Free rescheduling at the earliest available slot, or
  • A full refund if the candidate prefers not to reschedule

Candidates must report technical issues within 1 hour of the scheduled session start time.

4. How to cancel

To cancel a session, contact us at hello.uprou@gmail.com with your booking details. Include your name, session date, and coach name. We aim to respond within 2 hours on business days.

5. Refund processing times

  • Credit card refunds: 5–10 business days
  • Session credits: issued within 24 hours

6. Pack × 5 sessions

For the Pack × 5 product:

  • Unused sessions can be cancelled with a pro-rata refund up to 30 days after purchase
  • After 30 days, unused sessions are non-refundable but remain valid for 6 months
